Job Description:

As a Service Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in our team - acting as our customers' primary point of contact. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, scheduling appointments, writing estimates and invoices, ordering parts, and ensuring all customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the automotive technicians - clearly communicating customer concerns and scheduling appointments for service.
  • Provide detailed descriptions of vehicle issues, service requirements, and potential solutions to customers and technicians.
  • Find and order parts in a timely manner - balancing availability, quality, and price. 
  • Manage customer complaints with empathy and professionalism - ensuring all issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Foster repeat business by following up with customers on service satisfaction and reminding them of future service needs.
  • Maintain high customer service standards throughout the service process, from greeting customers to building estimates to handling invoices and more.
  • Ensure accurate and effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with your colleagues and customers to guarantee clarity and overall customer satisfaction of all parties involved.
  • Collaborate with all team members to foster a positive work environment, top-tier service delivery, and customer care.
  • Continue to build our shop's reputation by requesting online reviews from satisfied customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role in auto repair.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage customer complaints gracefully.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of efficiently managing multiple needs at once.
  • Experience with shop management systems and other software applications is a huge plus. 

Salary Range:
$50,000 - $90,000
