Van life just got an upgrade. At this year’s Overland Expo Mountain West (August 22–24, 2025), Chrysler pulled the covers off the Pacifica Grizzly Peak Concept—a bold, lifted, all-wheel-drive adventure minivan built to take families beyond the pavement. Rugged on the outside, flexible on the inside, it’s engineered for road trips that don’t end when the asphalt does.

As Chrysler celebrates its 100th anniversary, the message is unmistakable: you no longer have to choose between practicality and adventure. With the Pacifica Grizzly Peak Concept, you get both—wrapped in the most adventurous take on America’s best-selling minivan yet.

From Minivan to Adventure Machine

The Chrysler Pacifica already holds the crown as America’s best-selling and most awarded minivan—loved for its versatility, technology, and family-first features. But with the rise of overlanding and van life, Chrysler saw an opportunity to reimagine what a minivan could do once the pavement ends.

The Pacifica Grizzly Peak Concept takes the iconic people-mover and transforms it into an overlanding-ready machine. A lifted suspension—2.75 inches in the front and 2.5 in the rear—paired with 31-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires gives it trail-ready confidence. Add in rugged touches like Baja Designs fog lamps, Mopar splash guards, and a paint-protective wrap, and you’ve got a minivan that doesn’t flinch at dirt roads, rocky paths, or weekend wilderness escapes.

Built for the Outdoors

Adventure often means gear, and the Grizzly Peak Concept delivers on storage and functionality. A Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform sits up top, complete with roof-mounted TYRI LED lighting and an ARB retractable awning for shade or overnight stops. Inside, Chrysler swapped the third-row seats for a cargo floor panel, opening up the cabin for storage or sleeping space—a feature van lifers will instantly appreciate.

Other thoughtful details, like tie-downs for securing equipment, a 115-volt/450-watt power outlet in the rear, Mopar all-weather mats, and Chrysler-branded stackable totes, show just how much the design team leaned into the real-world needs of adventurers.

And it’s not just functional—it’s stylish. With Katzkin leather seating, a sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a striking Cement Gray and Liquid Titanium color scheme accented with orange seat belts, the Grizzly Peak feels equal parts rugged and refined.

A Concept Born From Community

According to Chrysler CEO Chris Feuell, the inspiration came directly from the van-life community. By listening to how adventurers use their vehicles—and how much they already value the Pacifica’s flexibility—the Chrysler team designed the Grizzly Peak as a “test bed” for the future. The goal? To gather feedback from real overlanders and travelers at Overland Expo and explore what’s possible for production down the road.

More Than a Minivan—It’s a Movement

Overland Expo, founded in 2009, has become the premier gathering for DIY adventure travel enthusiasts. With hundreds of vendors, hands-on classes, and even its own film festival, it was the perfect stage for Chrysler to showcase a concept that speaks to both practicality and passion.

As Chrysler heads into its next century, concepts like the Pacifica Grizzly Peak prove the brand is willing to evolve alongside its drivers. Families, explorers, and van-life dreamers alike now have a glimpse of what the future might hold: a minivan that’s just as comfortable off the grid as it is in the school pickup line.
