Jeep's premium Wagoneer line has grown to include two more. The all-new 2023 Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L were unveiled last month at the 2022 New York Auto Show. Both boast a wheelbase of 130 inches, 7 inches longer than the standard models, and an overall length of 226.7 inches, 12 inches longer than the standard Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. All of this extra space results in the Wagoneer L achieving best in class passenger space of 179 cubic feet and best in class second row legroom of 42.7 inches.

In addition to the size of these models being increased, their new Hurricane twin turbo engines boost their performance as well. Coming in two variants, the Standard Output balances emission control and power, while the High Output model is designed for increased power. Putting more than 500 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, the Hurricane High Output also excels in its efficiency during heavy use, like towing. Replacing last year's 5.6 L V-8, the new 3.0 L, inline 6 cylinder line of engines emits 15% less than the larger engines often found in large SUVs. As compared to the V-8s found in previous model years, drivers can expect an increase in efficiency of 1-2 mpg.

None of this means a compromise on power, however. The Wagoneer and Wagoneer L Standard Output engines produce 420 horsepower, while the Grand Wagoneer models' High Output engines produce 510 horsepower. The high torque output makes the new additions to the Wagoneer lineup perfectly suited for towing; they boast a best-in-class towing capability of 10,000 pounds. Aiding this is the Hurricane engines' ability to reach 90% of their peak torque at only 2,350 rpm. The premium design of the new Wagoneer models extends to the interior as well. All models include spacious leather seats as standard, as well as walnut accents and suede interior liners.

This comfort is accentuated with the revolutionary infotainment system, which features Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and 75 square inches of touch screen displays from which passengers can access entertainment and control the car's functions. Clearly, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L can do it all. From using their all-new engine for towing or gliding along in luxurious comfort, the additions to the Wagoneer line let you do it your way.
