Mopar, a customer-care, service, and parts brand for FCA vehicles worldwide, hosted an exhibit with a total of 14 impressively customized vehicles in the Las Vegas Convention Center at the SEMA Show in early November.
Mopar has taken its customization to the next level by highlighting two unique pickup trucks: the Ram 1500 Rebel OTG, and the Mopar Lowliner. Mark Bosanac, the Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care, applauds the vehicles showcased explaining how “Mopar is constantly expanding and exploring new ideas to meet the needs and fuel the imagination of our passionate fans.”
The Ram 1500 Rebel Off The Grid Concept is inspired by the outdoor, travel experience. It is carefully designed to be the chosen vehicle for going “off the grid,” and is more than qualified to handle any remote, new locations. This exciting vehicle, with a 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel engine with a 33-gallon tank, is equipped for long-distance travel and extended driving ranges.
In regards to new accessories, the OTG includes a solar panel set to generate electricity at a moment’s notice, a front-bumper winch, powerful LED driving lamps, both front and rear-wheel flares along with step assists rock rails so as to help the protect both the driver and vehicle against any rough ground, and even additional storage space above the truck.
The Mopar Lowliner Concept, the second unique pickup truck Mopar has highlighted, is a heavy-duty pickup truck with substantial differentiating factors to optimize the driver’s experience behind the wheel. For starters, its look is quite trendy with its orange-amber Blazing Saddle Tan, distressed look leather and tan carpet. The exterior is simplified to have a smooth look, with graphics minimized and some elements eliminated, such as the radio antenna and door handles. With a stamped steel front bumper, the original 1968 steering wheel, and the tan interior, Mopar is effectively presenting a combined retro and sleek look.
