For 2017, Ram has taken one of its most popular truck models, the 1500, and added a host of additional value-building features from which the driver can pick and choose in order to best serve their purposes. The customization process is both enjoyable and utilitarian, as one can assure that they are not overpaying for options they do not need or desire.
2017 Ram 1500 drivers can choose from several bed and cab configurations, three engine options, as well as available air suspension; not to mention the further customization one can explore if he wishes to upgrade to the Rebel, Sport, Laramie Longhorn, or Bighorn specialty models. Performance specifications vary greatly depending on the driver’s engine choice, however, the stock engine on the 2017 Ram 1500 Express is a 305 horsepower 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with a maximum gas towing capacity of 10,640 lbs. The V6 gets up to 20 mpg in the city, and 28 on the highway. The powerful Express engine often satisfies drivers' needs on its own, but V8 versions are available if even better performance is required.

Regardless of the customization choices the driver makes, the 2017 Ram 1500 comes with an extensive list of safety features. Four-wheel antilock brakes, hill start assist, trailer-sway control, and front and side airbags come standard. Also featured in the interior are remote start features, smartphone integration, adjustable pedals, keyless ignition, and Bluetooth capabilities.
The 2017 Ram 1500 series can be crafted to be as unique as the driver, but what is consistent across all models is the quality of the ride. The truck glides across the road, while capably towing a heavy load. The bed is strong and the materials used for the interior are premium. A diverse set of choices are available when crafting a 2017 Ram 1500, but not one of them is poor.
