O’Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, where everybody knows your name … Well, almost. It’s no secret that the O’Daniel group is well liked for their family-like atmosphere, and friendly, fantastic staff. This year’s Salespeople of the Year (SOY) award winners are well known and liked by everyone they meet—so it’s no surprise that this is not their first win. This is Roberta Parkinson’s third win in a row and Pat Garrett’s second. Pat has been with the O’Daniel Group for over 15 years now, and is truly part of the O’Daniel family. What makes these last two years stand out for Pat? He kept a steady pace, kept trying a little harder, worked on his phone skills, and participated in further training. However, Pat still knows what works for him: “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it."

Roberta has been with O’Daniel group since 2012 and loves working in the professional atmosphere. After winning Saleswoman of the Year the first two times, Roberta focused on staying in contact with her previous customers even more. “Every year I have a larger customer base so I take very good care of them and then continue to get more referrals and repeats,” she said. Every day is different, and salespeople never know who will walk into the dealership, and what is going to happen when they do. When Pat and Roberta were asked about their most memorable days on the job, Roberta recalled a day when she sold five cars in one day and was go, go, and go until 10:30 at night when she left the dealership. Pat, obviously a romantic, told us that all of his days are memorable. When you love what you do, each day is a gift, not a chore!

Part of the secret to being successful, is said by many to be a strong morning routine. Some people wake up to music and others work out, but everyone has something that is unique to them that helps get them started for the long day ahead. Roberta starts her mornings off checking to see who she needs to call per her CRM. “I check my notes from the previous day to see if there are any issues that need to be dealt with before deliveries for that day. Touch base with management and make sure what they need done for the day,” she told us. Pat, on the other hand, tends to have more of a nightly routine to get him ready for his mornings. He goes through everything every evening before he leaves and sets a structured plan for the next day, that way he is able to save time and get everything done that he needs to.

When Pat and Roberta aren’t being busy bees and winning Salespeople of the Year, Roberta enjoys shopping and traveling as well as spending time with her five adorable grandchildren. Pat also enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his son’s traveling baseball and football team. After having another a great year, Pat and Roberta both have some really solid goals for the upcoming year. Pat plans on keeping his customers 100% happy and 100% satisfied, all the while doing the best that he can. Roberta plans on working hard every day and conducting business with the utmost integrity and always keeping the customer's needs first.

With several SOY awards under their belts already, there is no doubt in our minds that they will continue to achieve even more great things, as well as accomplishing their own personal goals for the year ahead. Congratulations, Pat and Roberta!
