It's April and time for another O'Daniel anniversary. Celebrating one year with O'Daniel CDJR is the one and only: Justin Price. As a sales consultant, Price keeps plenty busy but took some time to catch up and talk with us about his first year with O’Daniel's.
What does a typical day look like for Price? Even before joining O’Daniel CDJR, Price had more than enough experience working in car sales and uses this past experience to make the car-buying process as enjoyable as possible for his customers. Sending out information, going over payments, and helping identify what customers want in a car, are only a few tasks in Price's regimen. With an extremely relaxed and comforting selling style, Price strives to put his customers before himself: "I try to understand my customer's situation, it’s the most important task. I come through on my word and try to provide a sales experience tailored to my customer's needs." Price understands every car situation is different, even for those customers looking for a more affordable, pre-owned vehicle. Yet, Price doesn't just give these customers affordable; with his knowledge of mechanics, Price ensures that his customers have an affordable and reliable car.
With all this talk of previous experience, how did Price first find himself in the car industry? "I was brought into the car business because I was laid off from a factory job. I found a job selling cars the next day and have done it ever since. I have worked as a general service tech, a restaurant manager, and a service advisor. I like people, and I know cars."
What's the biggest thing Price has learned in the past year? "I have learned to be the difference. I want my customers to have a personalized experience that fits their buying style." Well, somebody taught Price how to treat a customer right. Price attributes this to his grandparents, Dick and Donna, who shared their wisdom and humility with him.
Most memorable day? "Any day that involves free food! I try to make everyday memorable."
Glimpse of wisdom? Price offers a piece of advice to not only fellow car salesmen, but to potential car customers as well. Customers: Price encourages you to do your research—the more research means a better car-buying experience. Fellow car salesmen: "The secret to my success would be tailoring a personal experience from customer to customer; this helps them find the best car for their needs."
Off the clock, Price enjoys exercising, playing basketball, riding his motorcycle, going to the beaches in Michigan, grilling out, and candlelight dinners. For the most part, Price loves spending time with his family and friends.
Congratulations on one year with O’Daniel CDJR, and to many more!
