Jeep's three-row Grand Cherokee L is back for 2026 under the same trimmed-down grade structure used on the two-row model: Laredo, Limited, and Summit. The plan was laid out in an Auburn Hills release dated October 28, 2025, which also introduces Stellantis' new Hurricane turbo-four as the headline powertrain change for the Grand Cherokee family.
That engine is rated at 324 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque on regular gas, or 162 horsepower per liter. Jeep estimates up to 529 miles on a tank and lists a 6,200-pound tow figure it calls class-leading. Combustion uses Turbulent Jet Ignition: a small charge lights in a pre-chamber, then flame jets into the cylinder for a quicker, cleaner burn. A variable-geometry turbo is meant to build boost early, with roughly 90 percent of peak torque on tap from 2,600 to 5,600 rpm. Engines are slated for Stellantis' plant in Dundee, Michigan.

Elsewhere on the 2026 Grand Cherokee, Jeep fits a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, with options such as a 10.25-inch screen for the front passenger, Active Driving Assist, and Summit's 19-speaker McIntosh audio. Exterior revisions cover the seven-slot grille, lighting, rear and lower fascias, and trim, plus new paints that include Fathom Blue, Steel Blue, and Copper Shino. Laredo Altitude adds the bigger screen, upgraded audio, Selec-Terrain, plus aids that read traffic signs and help at intersections. Limited brings Silver Silk exterior accents, leatherette, heated second-row seats, and Alpine audio, with Reserve and Altitude packages on the menu. Summit adds Palermo leather, massaging seats, Quadra-Trac II with air suspension, and the McIntosh system.

For the long-wheelbase L, Laredo Altitude and up also pick up USB ports in the third row on top of that new kit, and a 60/40 split second-row bench is optional. Jeep still markets the L for class-leading second-row legroom, the most passenger volume in its group, and more space behind the third row than rival SUVs. Detroit's Jefferson and Mack plants will build the refreshed models for a late-2025 arrival. Hurricane-powered pricing was still unannounced in the release.
