Dodge has added Red Oxide, a deep dark red, as a factory exterior choice on every 2027 Charger. The August 17, 2026 Auburn Hills release follows the color's first public outing during Woodward Dream Cruise week on Dodge's show stand. It joins Purple Haze in the brand's recent wave of paint and personalization options. The U.S. price is $695, and order banks were set to open the month after the announcement.

The hue already appears on Durango and now covers the latest Charger generation. At Woodward, a Red Oxide Charger Scat Pack shared space with the 600-horsepower Charger Super Bee and a Smokescreen concept based on the Durango R/T 392, plus other painted and graphic-package examples. CEO Matt McAlear said color is one more way owners stamp a Charger as theirs, after a summer that also pushed graphics and stripe packages. The same booth included a Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak finished in Toxic Orange, a Scat Pack wearing the Cha Ching theme, and Chargers fitted with Tinted Stripes.

Red Oxide expands a chart that already runs from Diamond Black and White Knuckle to Sub-Zero, Redeye, Green Machine, Bludicrous, and Purple Haze. Those finishes apply across Charger's multi-energy range. Dodge's current roster includes a 420-horsepower SIXPACK R/T that the brand bills for segment-leading standard output; a 550-horsepower Scat Pack using the 3.0-liter twin-turbo SIXPACK high-output engine, which Dodge calls its strongest Hurricane yet; a 670-horsepower all-electric Daytona Scat Pack; and the 600-horsepower Super Bee Launch Edition, which Dodge ranks as its top SIXPACK Charger for speed and power. All-wheel drive is standard, and the body style choice is coupe or sedan.

Red Oxide leaves those powertrains alone. It simply gives shoppers another plant-applied dark red whose look changes with the light, ordered from the factory instead of sending the car out for a custom paint job.
