In the 2023 model year, Jeep unveiled several new upgrades and adjustments for its classic flagship off-roader, the Jeep Wrangler. Among these are the release of two new color schemes for the Wrangler. The first of these is Earl, a light grey with hints of blue. Once showcased on the Jeep Gladiator Farout concept car, the Wrangler is the first production Jeep to feature this shade. The second paint color is Reign, a deep shade of purple. Purple had previously been seen on the 2018 JK Wrangler; Reign will reintroduce the paint color for a limited run in 2023.

The head of Jeep brand North America, Jim Morrison, stated "We received a lot of positive feedback on Earl when it debuted on the Gladiator Farout concept, and we work to deliver what our customers tell us they want,” exhibiting his and Jeep's passion for giving Jeep enthusiasts something to get excited about. Limited edition colors like these give drivers a way to customize their cars and tailor them to their lifestyle. Currently, Reign and Earl join Firecracker Red, High Velocity, Hydro Blue, Sarge Green, Silver Zynith, Sting Gray, Granite Crystal, Black and Bright White for options in the 2023 model year.

Jeep's customizability is seen elsewhere in the Wrangler as well. Jeep now offers thirteen different trims, with varying engine sizes and features so that drivers can choose what they need. The standard 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6 is highly capable, but drivers can also choose a turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid, 3.6-liter V-6 with similar hybrid assist, a 3.0-liter diesel V-6; a new, 375-hp plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain and a massive 6.4-liter V-8. Through this, customers can choose anywhere from 285 horsepower at the base to 470 horsepower in the top of the line Rubicon 392. All told, the name of the game for the Jeep Wrangler is choice. From color to power, Jeep has ensured that you can get whatever you need out of the Wrangler.
