Recently, Auto123.com, a Canadian automotive research and shopping site, awarded the 2022 Ram 1500 its award for Best Full-size Pickup of the Year. The American manufacturer has received huge acclaim for the truck, receiving a 10/10 rating from Car and Driver magazine, where it was also ranked best in its class.

Looking at the 1500's performance, it's easy to see why. Between the different trims of the 1500, you have the option of a V-6, V8, and diesel engine, producing 305 horsepower in the base model to 702 in the top-of-the-line Ram 1500 TRX. All models can easily handle towing large loads; The Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2320 pounds, and even trims with a crew cab can still tow more than 11,500 pounds. Additionally, depending on trim, the truck can produce 410 to 650 pound-feet of torque. With both the V-6 and V-8 models becoming hybridized, fuel economy is still respectable in the largest of engines offered by the 1500. The EPA rated the most efficient V-6 Ram will earn up to 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while  the V-8 version is rated up to 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. Additionally, the EPA rated the diesel trucks at 22 mpg city and 32 mpg for highway driving.

Don't let the 1500's performance and towing ability fool you though. The interiors are still comfortable and up-to-date with all of the modern technology you could want. All trims have plenty of storage space, both in the bed, which has a new split tailgate to make loading goods easier, and the interior. An 8.4 inch interior display controls the 1500's infotainment system, which has connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the console still has physical buttons and knobs for easy access.

The Ram 1500 is also highly safe. Because of its solid construction and driver assists like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control, it was given a five star overall safety rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Truly, the Ram 1500 is ready for anything a driver needs, be it comfort, performance, entertainment, or safety.
