As one of America’s toughest truck manufacturers, Ram has a strong reputation to uphold. In today’s saturated market, customers expect nothing but the most durable, comfortable, and technologically-advanced vehicles. For 2021, Ram’s 1500 TRX has truly knocked it out of the park, and has been recognized as the "Texas Truck of the Year" by the Texas Motor Press Association as the Texas Truck of the Year as well as the High-Performance Truck of the Year. The Texas Motor Press Association is a registered 501(c)3 organization dedicated to creating a community of automotive industry professionals to create content highlighting the auto industry tailored specifically to the Texas market.
At the Association’s Texas Off-Road Invitational Event, the Ram 1500 TRX performed impressively with its strong horsepower and power delivery, superior ground clearance, and customizable drive modes to suit any situation. Featuring a 6.2L V8 engine producing 702 horsepower, the Ram 1500 TRX is powerful enough to handle any driving situation.
Several other trucks and SUVs also performed well at the invitational event. The Jeep Gladiator won Off-Road Truck of the Year, the Grand Cherokee L won Full-Size SUV of the Year, and the Jeep Wrangler 392 won High-Performance SUV of the Year. Through redesigning and refining interiors and building a powertrain meant to handle the toughest situations, Jeep was able to place 3 of its SUVs at this event.
The landscape of the SUV market in America is clearly changing. Customers once had to choose between barebones performance trucks and comfortable SUVs that were meant to stay on smooth roads. Now, companies have caught on to customer wants, and have redesigned their approach to off-road vehicles. No longer do customers have to compromise between durability and comfort. With these offerings from Ram, Jeep, and several other major manufacturers, drivers can have the peace of mind that their vehicles are durable and ready for adventure, and also enjoy creature comforts like stylish interiors and advanced technology.
