Thirty years ago, the original Jeep Grand Cherokee redefined what the finest SUV should be by literally shattering expectations as it crashed through a plate glass window at the 1992 Detroit Auto Show.

Since its initial debut, more than 7 million units have been sold, and the Grand Cherokee lineup has expanded into an entire family of vehicles. In commemoration of three decades of adventure, freedom, and fun, the Jeep brand released a special model to note the occasion—the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Anniversary Edition.

This is the first plug-in hybrid variant released for the Grand Cherokee lineup, complete with new all-electric systems bringing substantial advances.

Delivering 25 miles of all-electric range, and 56 miles per gallon equivalent from a hybrid powertrain that produces 375 horsepower, and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, the 30th Anniversary Model is the most technologically advanced and most efficient Grand Cherokee yet. A two-speed transfer case, and max towing capacity of 6,000 pounds make it the perfect partner in performing any type of errand.

Presenting a unique blacked-out exterior appearance, the anniversary model is timeless and cool. Its front fascia has been slightly modified, featuring dual exhaust, dual pane sunroof, signature blue tow hooks, and new 20-inch black wheels. Special edition touches such as still claddings, wheel flares, body-color rear fascia, and anniversary badging make it extra spectacular.

Inside, luxury is highlighted with black Capri leather seats, ventilated front seating, a 10.1-inch touchscreen running the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, wireless charging pad, nine-speaker Alpine audio system, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also boasts of navigation with 3D graphics.

Safety features such as Intersection Collision Assist, front/rear park assist, passive entry, rain-sensing windshield wipers, 360-degree surround view camera system, and digital rearview mirror come in standard.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe Anniversary Edition is a manifestation of how far the Grand Cherokee has come, and how widely loved it has been. It is also an example of how Jeep takes the lead in the electrification of SUVs.

Available at $4,700 MSRP and for a limited time only, pre-orders for the special model begin later this year. Vehicles are scheduled to start arriving by early 2023. Call O’Daniels today for details.
