Jeep is propelling its journey to electrification forward with the new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid. The Grand Cherokee is the most awarded SUV in history, and in its fifth generation, it will pay homage to the Jeep brand’s vision for “Zero Emission Freedom.” With an SUV that has received countless industry accolades and more than 7 million in global sales, it’s clear that the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe will turn heads across the auto industry.

The Jeep brand revealed the first images of the all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid during Stellantis EV Day 2021, and the images are an exciting ode to all that is to come from Jeep in the next year and beyond. The Grand Cherokee 4xe will be unveiled at the 2021 New York International Auto Show, standing strong beside the full range of the Grand Cherokee lineup.

The new electrified Jeep Grand Cherokee is an amazing addition to the Jeep lineup, but is only the start of a larger process for the auto brand. Jeep even declared that it will have an electrified model in every segment it competes in by 2025, which is a journey that has already begun as Jeep already builds its plug-in-hybrid of the Wrangler, the 4xe. The Wrangler has a total system output at 470 lb-ft of torque and 375 hp, which is better than the 5.7-liter V-8 that powers the current Grand Cherokee. This could mean big things for the future of the Grand Cherokee 4xe, although we expect more details to emerge when it is unveiled at its formal debut in New York

Jeep is going to be bringing its customers a lot in upcoming years: picture an EV with autonomous off-roading capability, drone pairing that can provide extra light as you traverse an off-road trail in the dark, or a futuristic truck equipped with biometric recognition to unlock and manage your vehicle. After picturing this, you will have had a quick glance into what Jeep is committing to provide and how the brand will be revolutionizing the EV market with its advanced integrated technology and exciting new features.
