Just in time for the fall harvest, Dodge Ram is releasing its 2018 Harvest Edition. Going on sale in the third quarter of 2017, the new Dodge Ram is designed for farm families and the agricultural industry.

This will be the first agricultural market-specific truck released in this industry, further proving Dodge’s commitment to the agricultural community.

Debuting the 2018 Harvest Edition is not Dodge’s first nod to farm families. Dodge has been implementing its RAM Certified Agriculture Dealership Program across the country, which aims to properly care for farmers. For example, this program includes incentives and bonus offers for farm families and ensures dealerships are training its salesmen to be aware of farm culture and farmers’ wants and needs.

The new 2018 Ram Harvest Edition will be available in two new colors: Case IH Red and New Holland Blue.

“The Ram Harvest Edition marks the first time that Ram dealers will be able to stock trucks that exactly match the colors of two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep & Ram Brands – FCA Global. “Farmers have been asking for these colors, and Ram is proud to be the first in the industry to be able to offer them. The Ram Harvest Edition truck will allow farm families to get their work done while proudly showing their agricultural brand loyalty.”

If farmers want a change, though, the trucks are also available in Bright White and Brilliant Black.

The 2018 Harvest Edition, inside and out, is built for farm life. The 1500, 2500, and 3500 lineups are available with every possible configuration, including all 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8, 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 and 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel powertrains.

These trucks also feature a ride-height increase of one inch and aggressive on/off road tires to navigate any terrain on and around the farm. With black tubular side steps, a durable spray-in bedliner, fold-out bumper step and and mud flaps, rubber floor mats, skid plates and tow hooks in the 4x4, and optional heated seats, any design alteration you could think of has been taken into account for farmers’ heavy work loads.

Dodge also ensured that farmers would have the latest technology available to them as well. The Heavy Duty models have a cargo-view camera, for example, and all models feature an 8.4 inch Uconnect touchscreen with smartphone integration and navigation as standard features.

MSRP starts at $39,910, plus a $1,395 destination charge, and Ram Heavy Duty models start at $46,235. Farmers: this combination of luxury and utility is not a truck you'll want to miss!
