Earlier this fall, Dodge revealed two new Ram trucks at the State Fair of Texas: The new Ram Laramie Longhorn Southfork edition and the new Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver. The Heavy Duty Lone Star was also announced as a Texas exclusive.

The new Southfork edition of the Laramie Longhorn is an evolution of the earlier model, which is the reigning Texas Auto Writers Association Luxury Pickup of Texas. This new iteration of the truck, going into production in quarter three of 2017, elevates the already luxurious pickup truck.

In order to give the truck a Texas feel, the Southfork has full-grain leather seats in the rich hues of Canyon Brown and Light Frost Beige Natura Plus 100. A galvanized-appearance trim, Walnut-colored ash wood accents, and Ruby Red stitching, alongside Dodge’s intuitive UConnect 4C 8.4-inch touchscreen system, give the driver a sense of pride in their truck. Even the steering wheel, Walnut-trimmed, allows for a sense of prestige and luxury.

On the exterior, the new Laramie Longhorn Southfork showcases a “Longhorn” badge across the tailgate in brilliant chrome. Available in any existing Dodge color, as well as a new two-tone RV Match Walnut Brown hue, this new edition of the classic truck can be purchased for $51,220, plus $1,395 destination.

The Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver barrels into the market with more luxury updates as well.

“The new Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver edition builds upon the original Texas-only pickup and demonstrates Ram’s commitment to America’s largest truck market,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep & Ram Brands, FCA Global.

In order to show their appreciation, Dodge equipped the Lone Star Silver with even more chrome, featured on the grille, Wave Mesh inserts, side-view mirrors, and wheel-to-wheel side steps. The new edition is also available with cloth and vinyl high-back bucket seats in Canyon Brown and Light Frost Beige or Black and Diesel Gray.

Production for the new Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver also begins during the third quarter of 2017, and MSRP for Ram 2500 Heavy Duty models is $55,620, plus $1,395.
