When we are little kids, one year seems to last a lifetime. As the years goes on, one year moves by in the blink of an eye. The latter is the case for Rick Zabolotney who is celebrating his one year anniversary with O’Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
While learning a new position and adapting to the company, Zabolotney says the family-like attitude of the staff helped get him through. Zabolotney explains: “The O’Daniel Group is really a team and a great team to be a part of. I’ve worked at two other dealerships in the past, and from salespeople, to managers, to mechanics, everyone only looked out only for themselves.” But not at CDJR! And Zabolotney is grateful for that.
This works for Zabolotney because he follows the traditional golden rule. “The old saying: ‘Treat others how you want to be treated,’” Zabolotney says, “goes for customers and coworkers.” “Why," might you ask? “I really believe good things happen to good people.” Zabolotney draws on the classic story of Forrest Gump as an example.
While customers learn about cars from Zabolotney, he learns a bit about life and relationships through his clients. He reflects on watching a father support his son when buying a new car—although the father wasn’t crazy about the car, he lent support to his son as he had saved his own money and performed research to choose the car he wanted. Not only did Zabolotney learn the respect given to responsibility, but he also learned more about supporting one’s decision.
Through the ups and downs of a work day, Zabolotney has enjoyed his first year with O’Daniel CDJR and hopes to have more years with the company moving forward. Zabolotney exclaims, “I have the greatest job in the world! I get paid to help people in need and celebrate their success. I’m my own boss!”
Congratulations on your first anniversary with O’Daniel CDJR, Rick! And to many more!
