We are excited to celebrate ten years of service with Madison at O’Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. We caught up with Madison and asked her a few questions about her time with the O’Daniel Automotive Group. A decade is a solid chunk of time, and many things change in the fast pasted auto industry on a daily basis. Thankfully, Madison is one of the key players who helps things run without a hitch.
Madison works behind the scenes and is crucial to helping things run smoothly in the office. Before she came to O’Daniel CDJR, she worked in a movie theater. “Randy Powell gave me a chance to make it, and I haven’t quit. I had no experience in the car industry, but I was familiar with customer service.” Her work style is very well regulated and she admits, “Working in the office for Dave Gutting makes you very organized.” (Dave is O’Daniel CDJR’s CFO and is known for his strict attention to details and numbers.)
With ten years under her belt in the car industry, Madison has seen many changes. “It’s fun to look back at 2007 (when I first started), and look at where I am today and how much vehicles, policies, and the work environment has changed.” A former co-worker was an inspiration to Madison when she started at O’Daniel CDJR. “She was always upbeat and the most concerned with making sure every customer was taken care of in a timely manner.” Having such a great example has helped shape Madison, allowing her to become a valued employee.
The car industry may not be for everyone, but for those that aspire to join it, Madison gives this advice: “Never give up. No matter what. It can be a tough industry.” Madison went on to say that one of the biggest things she has learned during the past decade is how one person’s work affects many others throughout the O’Daniel Group. “Our work does not just stay here; it extends to all three O’Daniel dealerships.” Never giving up on your dream and understanding how your job influences others are great lessons!
