Being a service technician for import cars can be a daunting task, but Nathan Foltz takes on that task with voracious appetite for learning and plenty of love. Taking a moment from his busy schedule, we were able to have a talk about his five years with The O’Daniel Automotive Group and his passion for German cars.
On technology: "The car industry changes so quickly within one year. With technology getting better, what seems like every day, it requires me to learn so much more—and I truly enjoy that. German cars are my passion after all."
On his passion: "My very first car was a Volkswagen, and looking back on it that’s when I discovered my passion for German cars. A bit unsure of what to do after high school I decided to follow my interest and enrolled in a high performance automotive program at a technical school. Kept looking forward and I ended up at O’Daniel’s."
On the last five years: "To be honest I learned so much more once I started working at the shop than at school—I’m a hands on type of learner and as soon as I started working here I realized that. It’s always interesting learning new things about the cars, most days don’t even feel like work, most. But I do have to thank Mike Keene for providing the guidance he has, Mike has heaps of experience, his toolbox is as old as I am!"
Thank you for your time on the team Nathan, and congrats on your five years with O’Daniel’s, here's to many more!
