In July, the FCA US LCC announced that the automotive research group, AutoPacific, named the Jeep Grand Cherokee the “Most Ideal Mid-Size SUV” and the Dodge Challenger the “Most Ideal Sporty Car.” This is the sixth consecutive year that the Grand Cherokee has won this award and the fourth year that the Challenger has won this award.

The awards are based upon surveys from over 65,000 owners of new 2015 and 2016 vehicles from many major manufacturers. The surveys were given after the owner had their car for 90 days and focused on which changes they’d make to their car or truck in fifteen categories. Some of which included; ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, power and acceleration, and technology.

George Peterson, president of AutoPacific, Inc., explained why the Grand Cherokee continues to win this award: “Grand Cherokee owners want very little changed. This is a testament to the excellence that Jeep planners, designers, and engineers have in understanding exactly what their customers want.” He also explained that the reason the Dogde Challenger continues to win the award is that “the Dodge Challenger has a wide product range that provides what sporty car drivers want.”

The Jeep brand ensures that drivers live to the fullest by offering a variety of models that provide owners a sense of security everywhere they drive. The Dodge brand is America’s mainstream performance brand; their 2016 lineup delivers best-in-class horsepower, class-exclusive technology, unmatched capability, and a variety of other unique features.
