The 2016 Outdoorsman takes everything great about the standard 1500 and upgrades it to mesh flawlessly with an outdoor lifestyle. The truck comes equipped with a 3.6L V6 engine capable of producing 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, while the 17’’ wheels use that power efficiently to achieve 25 mpg on the highway. A variable bed size, either 5.7ft or 6.4ft, is available to satisfy differing needs.
Regardless of the bed length that is chosen, the 1500 Outdoorsman has ample storage capacity. Ram has limited the Outdoorsman exclusively to 4-door models, to assure the truck seats 5 hunters and their gear comfortably. The Class-Exclusive RamBox® Cargo Management System is also available. The sturdy, lockable, Rambox makes use of the otherwise wasted bedside space and gives the driver additional room, and the Rambox bed extender stretches the already lengthy bed assuring that carrying capacity will be no concern. The cosmetic Mossy Oak package, which converts the standard panels into Mossy Oak Infinity Breakup camo, is available to make the 1500 Outdoorsman look like a true part of the hunt.
