When asked about the cast of the new Fast and Furious movie, our staff at O'Daniel Motor Sales could really only come up with one name--Dodge. Ok, ok. Maybe we recognize a couple of the actors too, but a franchise that features a guy named "Diesel" is clearly more about the cars than the cast.
Appropriately enough, Dodge will be snagging quite a bit of the spotlight this summer as three new Dodge vehicles are featured in the upcoming, Fast and Furious 6. Just to make sure that moviegoers don't miss the models during the film, the automaker is shining a little more light on them in a series of high-octane ads.
The first installment stars the 2013 Dodge Dart. The spot highlights the Dart's handling with a hairpin turn along a tight track. Acceleration is put on display when the model races up a one-lane coastal highway, and fuel economy is clearly touted when the vehicle zips by a lonely-looking gas pump. Oh yeah, there's also an explosion or two thrown in for good measure.
The second, yet-to-be-released Fast and Furious/Dodge commercial will promote the Dodge Charger. Sounds like a lot of power to squeeze into just 30 seconds of air space.
So far, no details have been released about the third segment. Given that the Challenger scorches across the screen quite a bit in Fast and Furious 6, we have a pretty good guess as to which car Dodge will round things out with.
