After announcing that it would be breaking up its Chrysler Pacifica lineup, Chrysler has made headlines with its new 2020 Chrysler Voyager, earning the highly impressive five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The NHTSA’s top rating covers several crucial crashworthiness evaluations for maximized safety, including front diver and passenger side-impact, overall frontal impact, front and rear set combined barrier and pole side-impact, driver side barrier impact, rear passenger side barrier impact, side barrier, and overall side pole impact.

This rating came with little surprise, as the 2020 Chrysler Voyager was designed with safety in mind. To maintain structural integrity in certain crash events, the Voyager has a body structure composed of 72% high-strength steel. The door rings are assembled with thick hot-stamped steel and the molded load beams offer much greater strength and stiffness to the vehicle. Designed to shift the crash energy away from the passenger, the cradle, as well as the front rails, are both made from advanced high-strength steel.

In addition to its structural safety, the 2020 Chrysler Voyager includes several available safety features such as Blind-spot Monitoring, ParkSense rear park assist and Rear Cross Path detection.

"The new Voyager benefits from the same engineering discipline and innovative spark that led to our invention of the minivan segment. We dominate the segment because the features and performance minivan customers want most are baked right into our vehicle design.”

— Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Cars at FCA North America

This more budget-friendly Chrysler minivan’s focus on its safety turns the customers’ preferences into reality, with the new features designed to focus on the car's maintained structure and driver safety on the road.

The Chrysler also provides an impressive 28 highway mpg rating along with the powerful 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine for the road. New technological implementations are found on the interior of the vehicle as well, with a stunning 7-inch touchscreen that features both Android Auto integration and Apple Carplay support, allowing for all different phones and customers to connect to the Chrysler’s Uconnect 4.

Starting at $26,985, the Chrysler Voyager is available in a wide array of exterior colors including black, granite crystal, silver metallic, jazz blue, velvet red, and bright white.
