Dodge/SRT Adds Widebody Package to Charger

If you are thinking of getting a classic muscle car that can double as a family sedan then the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is exactly the vehicle for you.

The Charger Hellcat Widebody packs the familiar supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet connected to an eight-speed gearbox. No wonder Dodge calls it the world’s fastest mass-produced sedan, topping speed charts at 196 miles per hour. Add to that some broader fenders giving an additional 3.5 inches to the body’s width and allowing for 11 inch wide tires to fit in the wells.

But it’s not only the wider tires, and speed, you can look forward to. One new feature is its overhauled suspension with springs that are stiffer, sway bars that are much larger, and Bilstein three-mode adaptive dampers. The driver has the option to choose their preferred settings from the new electric power steering system plus a set of 15.4-inch Brembo front brakes that can handle any sudden stop.

There’s still so much more. Dodge has decided to add in tech features to further improve performance. It has a Race Cooldown feature that keeps running the intercooler pump and radiator fan which continuously cools the supercharger. Simply hit a switch on the dashboard to use launch control with launch assist to utilize speed sensors which help prevent wheel hop.

Standard heated and ventilated Laguna leather front seats come in several colors and color combinations. You can choose from black, black and sepia, or black and demonic red, black and houndstooth, black and ruby red, and black and caramel. You can also opt for a carbon and suede package with a carbon fiber trim for the panel and console.

To make things more exciting, there’s even more variety to the exterior colors that you can choose from. There’s F8 Green, White Nuckle, IndiGo Blue, Go Mango, Triple Nickel, Granite Crystal, Octane Red, Pitch Black TorRed, plus all new colors that will be available at a later date like Frostbite, Hellraisin, and Sinamon Stick.

All in all you’ve got power, speed, class, variety, and a perfect combination of classic and modern—all rolled into a muscle car that double as a family sedan. No doubt the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody will continue to be the "most powerful and fastest' mass-produced sedan in the world.
